5 THINGS THAT BUG THE SHIT OUT OF ME [AND HAVE TO STOP]
1) Saying "Lifting weights makes women manly" or "lifting makes women look like a man"
Who says this? I've never heard anyone say this. Perhaps back in the day, there was a misconception that weightlifting makes a woman more manly; but come on now. No one says this shit anymore.
2) Telling women they're skinny.
As much as I fucking HATE it, women still love being told they are "skinny" or "tiny". Let's start telling them they look "frail" and see how that goes over.
3) Using the word "cheat" when it comes to nutrition
Cheating is baaaaaaaaaaaad. Food is goooooooooood. Attaching the word "cheat" to food fucks up all the good things we should associate with the benefits of fueling our bodies to fuel our workouts and lives. It's really okay if food actually makes you feel good instead of like a naughty child.
4) Saying "What works for me might not work for you"
Bull.shit. What works works. What has always works still works. It works for both men and women. There are a very small minority of human beans who need some sort of specialized nutrition plan or workout plan. VERY SMALL. Don't try to reinvent the wheel, people. You're making it harder than it has to be. But perhaps that eases your mind when all your new-fangled asshole workouts and diets don't fucking work.
5) Thinking you have to lose fat BEFORE you start a lifting program
Learn what it means to eat at a slight deficit and lift heavy shit.
